Nicola Scott: Geeks Are Very Mainstream Now

Nicola Scott, the former model who now illustrates for DC comics, said geeks are very mainstream today.

"I think geeks are really cool now," she told a lifestyle writer for MSN.com. "It's become very mainstream."

One of Scott's first major gigs landed her on the pages of the 26th issue of "Star Wars: Empire" in 2004, following a career in modeling and acting.

However, Scott, whose work includes "Teen Titans," "Birds of Prey" and the "Earth 2," said her geek level is split right between the center, when compared to her friends.

"I've probably been the geekiest of my girlfriends," she said, "but I'm the least geeky out of all my geek friends. I'm right in the middle!"

This year, Scott teamed with writer James Robinson to produce "Earth 2," a new comic book series that centers on the Justice League of America.
